Dinner at Korean Palace (Gangnam Style) @ Tanjung Tokong, Penang

This restaurant is out of business.

Korean Palace has become a place where I'll go for my dinner from time to time during my stay at the Penang Island. X3

I am a fan of kimchi now and I can't resist the sour taste of it. Yum! Though some people might find the smell and taste of kimchi a lil overwhelming. XP

Different side dishes will be served when you dine in Korean Palace
and am always impress my the variety of it.

Salad and stir fried vegetables mostly.
I luv my kimchi the most. Muacks!

Yea 野, Japanese Barbeque and Shabu Shabu Buffet @ Times Square, Penang

Fyi, this restaurant is out of business.

I dislike buffet as I can't eat much and I will feel uncomfortable after gobbling down tons of food.

Anyway, I went for a Japanese Buffet a couple of weeks ago with my family as my aunt got a discount coupon from his friend. Plus, I've heard a lot of people praising the buffet and decided to go there for a try.

Yea Japanese buffet is actually an outlet of Tao Authentic Asian Cuisine. Basically, you get to choose the ingredients and  customise your own barbecue on the stone plate prepared (with the sauce and spices of your choice). You can also decide your own soup based for the shabu shabu or steamboat.

China House, Part II @ George Town, Penang

At last, we found the entrance of China House! XD

During my last visit, my bestie and I fail to locate the entrance and we ended up using the entrance of  The Canteen at the back of the restaurant on Beach Street.

It was a fine weekend, so, the restaurant was packed. It was difficult to get a table for 4, unless reservations were made for weekends. Therefore, we decided to be separated.

Street Art @ George Town, Penang

Besides the metal caricature around George Town's heritage zone, we can also see a few interesting murals by Ernest Zacharevic, which is a part of a project of George Town Festival 2012, known as Mirrors George Town.

During my trip, I didn't go to all the places for the murals, except a few which we managed to find based on a map as well as some information found over the Internet. =)

Salad Bowl Restaurant @ Butterworth, Penang

Apart from liking soupy dishes like Udon and Ramen, I do have a craving for the Western food that we can find at local food courts or hawker centre.

Salad Bowl is a restaurant serving local and western delights, which are delicious. I have been here once in a blue moon since I was a kid and I fell in love with some of the dishes and the never fail to 'tame' my wild cravings. XP

It is a family restaurant actually. Nothing fancy,
except cold and cosy with soothing music.

Metal Caricature @ George Town, Penang

I’m proud to be a Penangite.

Penang is a beautiful state which is famous for its local food, as well as its beautiful heritage buildings.
To commemorate Penang’s George Town’s status as the UNESCO World Heritage Site, numerous interesting art projects can be spotted around the area.

My friends and I managed to find a few metal caricature sculptures during our trip. They are cool as the caricatures and descriptions on them managed to introduce the history of the community to the people. It is a great way to preserve the rich culture of the local community.

Mews Cafe @ Muntri Street, Penang

Nestled among the rich heritage enclave of George Town,  I’ve found a beautiful yet unique café, which is Mews Café. Besides the café, there’s a heritage boutique hotel which looks exotic.

While my friends and I were hunting for some murals and interesting metal caricature along Muntri Street and Love Lane, we came across this chic café at a corner.  We’ve read some reviews here and there on the internet, as well as newspaper. Thus, decided to drop by for a drink on our way back from the photo shots to our car.

During out tea break, we ordered 2 mocktails and 2 tea speciality. The drinks are equally good.

Ichiban Ramen @ Jusco, Seberang Perai

During my lonely days in university, well, not that lonely, should be said as the time when I need to roam for grocery shopping and some air at Jusco, I would definitely go to Ichiban for my lunch when I was craving for kimchi with rice. O.O

I've eaten a few of their bento sets, noodles and don, however, I was not into blogging yet during that time. XP  A few items on the menu are worth the try, such as sweet and sour chicken bento set and kimchi ramen (I can't recall the menu, have to reblog during my food adventure in the future).

Back to Nature @ Gua Tempurung, Perak

After having a crazy life which is full of work, at last, I manage to make a quick update of my blog today. X3

I went to Gua Tempurung on the last week of June and I’m glad that the head of my department, well the principal organised this trip and made it a compulsory for everyone. Due to my migraine, too bad that I didn’t went deep into the cave.

We paid RM22 for the entrance which is the Grand Tour which covered the entire cave (yup, it was wet with tons of sliding and crawling). It is a shame that I went till the Top of the World. Nevertheless, I had a great time. XD

My breakfast. Waffles!!!

Chili's for dinner @ G Hotel, Penang

Penang is a food paradise and you can get almost any type of food, ranging from the local delights to international delicacies from day time till the wee hours.

Anyway, I went to Chili's for my meal after shopping again. It was a hot day, so, indulging in glasses of unlimited ice lemon tea under the roof was a bliss. XD

Roasted Duck @ Tan Kee, Lunas

My aunt had been asking me to go to Lunas to try out the roasted duck since I managed to find the way there due to public exam invigilation. Well, I've been there a few months ago, almost forgotten to include it in my updates. =3 I've long forgotten the price of the dishes. X.x Anyway, here goes...

Cake! Cake! Cake! Is what I can think of when it comes to Secret Recipe.
Haven't eaten any of them for almost 2 years I guess.
Went there last week for tea, while waiting for the movie to start, as well as give my friend a birthday treat.

Sakae Sushi @ Gurney Plaza, Penang

I am a fan of Asian culture. The Japanese culture is unique and beautiful and I really reeeealy adore the way they present their food, as well as the architecture and fabric design. Ok...I am a fan of anime and manga. The point is...I am not a weebo nor an Otaku. XP

When it comes to local Japanese chain restaurant, I will either go for Sakae Sushi or Sushi King. They have their own specialities and I can't judge which is better. =.= I went to Sakae Sushi twice during my long break from work as I was craving for their tempura ramen. X3

Thinking of what to eat can be rather annoying and tiring when I am hanging out alone at Gurney Plaza. Since I am craving for a good cup of coffee, I headed to Dome once again for a light meal.

Berlin's Bier Houz @ Straits Quay, Penang

I don’t have a good impression when it comes to pork knuckles as I’ve tried on at the Curve KL which is not very delicious as compared to the roasted pork I can get at the local market.

Well, my friend suggested that I should try out the one available at Straits Quay and perhaps I will change my mind. Fortunately my friend managed to change my mind by suggested that we should go to Straits Quay’s Berlin’s Bier Houz.

Italiannies (Pasta, Pizza and Vino) @ Gurney Paragon, Penang

There are several new restaurants and dining outlets at the newly opened Gurney Paragon. Well, at least I have a new alternative when it comes to food, rather than roaming around Gurney Plaza thinking of what to eat when I am around that place.

I went to Italiannies for dinner a few days ago with my bestie since I am craving for pizza. I haven’t eaten any for quite some time. This is my first visit to Italiannies. Well, I had a good time there with the new Italian dining experience. XD

Dessert Fantasy @ Meet Fresh (鲜芋仙), Gurney Plaza, Penang

Please take note that this outlet is no longer available at Gurney Plaza

After my shopping spree at Gurney Plaza, I will drop by Meet Fresh to try their desserts since I've fallen in love with them after my first visit.

I like the dessert because of the ingredients, such as soy bean tofu pudding, herbs jelly, read beans and mung beans which are good. Not something artificial which can be over sweetened.

Anyway, here are the desserts that I've tried so far. XD

Gelato @ Gelateria Italia, Singapore

My friend told me that I have to try Gelatissimo's ice-cream (to be precise Gelato) as they are simply delicious and I would not fancy other ice-cream after that. However, I brushed the idea aside as I would not want to indulge in sweet stuff as I am always on a diet or simply too full to shove in more great stuff when I was hanging out at Gurney Plaza.

Anyway, I haven’t seen the shop around Gurney Plaza a few months back, perhaps renovation or they have moved else wher . Well, I’m lucky enough to stumble upon it at the entrance of Shaw House of Orchard Road (Singapore) during my Singapore trip earlier this month. However, I was not craving for yummy stuff till I entered Takashimaya’s Food Hall in Ngee Ann City.

With my urge to satisfy my taste buds for a cool yummy dessert, I decided to try out Gelateria Italia’s Gelato. In my opinion, Gelato has a finer texture compared to ice-cream and it is indeed lighter. As far as I know, Gelato and ice-cream are different because of the ingredients and preparation.

The Connoisseur Concerto @ Singapore, ION Orchard

I went to Singapore last weekend and finally, I went to TCC! I've been eyeing  on this cafe since my last trip as I notice that TCC is a beautifully decorated chains of boutique cafe. Every cafe seems to have its own concept and design and they are pretty.

Well, I'm happy that I went to the one in ION Orchard. Simple and colourful with red and yellow coloured theme and furniture. It is indeed a good place for tea or a rest after an insane shopping spree.
